2025 was a year of resilience and progress.
From supporting local businesses through economic complexities to attracting new investments to the region, we’ve expanded opportunities for growth across Simcoe County. This past year brought heightened uncertainty, most notably due to the turbulence created by shifting global trade dynamics, mounting tariff pressures, and the renegotiation of CUSMA, one of Canada’s most significant trade agreements. Despite these challenges, our region demonstrated its ability to pivot, adapt, and uncover potential in every disruption. This resilience fuels our confidence as we build this year’s roadmap to create even greater opportunities in Simcoe County.
As we implement our 2026 workplan, we’re focusing on the following priorities:
- Stronger Partnerships: Collaboration among our communities and partners has been essential to our success. Strengthening and expanding these partnerships will remain a core priority as we move forward.
- Sector Development: We will continue to advance key sectors across Simcoe County, supporting the growth of existing businesses while attracting new investment to the region.
