Event Details

Join the Trade Commissioner Service for a one-hour webinar designed to help you:

  • navigate U.S. customs requirements
  • work effectively with customs brokers
  • determine CUSMA compliance

Whether you’re new to exporting or want to fine-tune your approach, this session offers practical guidance to help protect your bottom line.

Why this matters

On March 4, 2025, the U.S. imposed tariffs of 25% on goods imported from Canada, and 10% on energy products imported from Canada. Starting March 7, 2025, goods that meet the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) rules are exempt from tariffs. This means you can still ship your goods to the U.S. without paying tariffs — as long as they qualify. Understanding how to leverage CUSMA and work with a customs broker is essential to avoid costly mistakes and ensure smooth border crossings.
