Hosted in partnership between the County of Simcoe and Lakehead University’s Office of Community Engagement & Lifelong Learning, this FREE* event will provide Simcoe County business leaders with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of how to build meaningful land acknowledgements and strengthen their relationships with indigenous communities.
Held at Chippewas of Rama First Nation, the event offers a unique opportunity to learn from Elder Mark Douglas—storyteller, founding member of the Mnjikaning Fish Fence Circle, and LU Civitas Award Winner—alongside Indigenous entrepreneurs and leaders. Explore the importance of location, history, and action in building meaningful connections with your clients, workforce, and community.
