Build Communities Strong Fund

The Build Communities Strong Fund will invest in a broad range of infrastructure projects that strengthen economic growth and support housing, sports, education, healthcare, public transit, and climate resilience. The program will provide $51 billion over 10 years beginning in 2026-27, followed by $3 billion annually on an ongoing basis to support the development and renewal of public infrastructure across communities.

The Build Communities Strong Fund is delivering funding through three streams, starting in 2026-27:

(1) Build Communities Strong Fund Provincial and Territorial stream
(2) Build Communities Strong Fund Direct Delivery stream
(3) Build Communities Strong Fund Community stream
