AgSights – ProcessorLinks

  • ProcessorLinks is a Farmer Processor Connections Initiative supported by Meat and Poultry Ontario (MPO) and the Governments of Canada and Ontario under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership.
  • Contains a Booking Dashboard to access the available dates and times for the service you require and book your appointment.

OMAFA – Provincially Licenced Abattoirs

  • This data identifies all provincially licensed abattoirs, abattoirs that conduct further processing, freestanding meat plants, and plants that specialize in the slaughter of animals across the province of Ontario,
  • Includes a Map of all provincially licenced meat plants in Ontario is available that includes contact information.

Meat Inspection Program

  • The Ontario Meat Inspection Program, regulated by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), ensures that all meat processed for consumption in Ontario meets stringent food safety requirements. This program covers both slaughter plants (abattoirs) and freestanding meat plants, ensuring that animals are handled humanely, and meat is processed under sanitary conditions.
