Every year, Simcoe County welcomes around nine million visitors, making tourism a billion-dollar industry in this region. As a result, tourism accounts for thousands of local job openings, from entry level positions to executive careers, from part-time, seasonal employment to full-time permanent work. So, whether you’re a videographer, a marketer, an engineer or an accountant, the tourism sector might offer you that exciting, flexible and engaging career you’re looking for.  

Matt Konings is an aspiring professional snowboarder who gravitated towards a job at his local ski hill, starting his career in the snowboard shop and terrain park. Now, he’s Manager of Parks and Events for both the ski and snowboard season and the mountain bike season at Horseshoe Resort.
