Funding Opportunities

Prince’s Trust Canada

This uniquely Canadian program offers the men and women who have bravely served our country the education, financing and mentoring needed to start and sustain their own successful business.

Participants may be eligible to receive up to $45,000 in start-up financing from the Canadian Youth Business Foundation and will be hand-matched with a mentor, whose expert advice will help to navigate the challenges of starting and running your own business.

Regional Tourism Organization 7

RTO7 offers a number of funding programs to support private and non-private tourism operators, destination marketing organizations, tourism organizations, municipalities, and associations/interest groups with a primary purpose in tourism in Bruce Grey and Simcoe Counties. They offer Partnership Programs and Implementation Programs.

Rural Economic Development Program

Businesses can be eligible for a grant of up to 50% of the costs spent on a partnership project to train employees, create marketing materials, hire consultants, commission plans and studies, and make upgrades to equipment and capital. Food processing businesses can apply by themselves; other businesses must partner with individuals, other businesses, community organizations or municipalities.

Skills Development Fund

The Skills Development Fund will support projects that will help relieve pandemic-induced barriers to hiring, training and retaining workers.

The ministry is seeking projects that will enable market-driven solutions and unlock the economic potential of skilled trades and broader workforce development initiatives to facilitate the province’s economic recovery.

Strategic Innovation Fund

The Strategic Innovation Fund’s (SIF) objective is to spur innovation for a better Canada by providing funding for large projects and national innovation ecosystems. SIF supports a wide range of large-scale, transformative and collaborative projects across all sectors of the economy.

Sustainable Development Technology Canada

Offers two funding programs designed to bridge the gap between research and development and commercialization in the sustainable technologies field. One fund is focused on supporting projects that produce or maintain clean air, water, and land, while the other is focused on the development of bio-fuels.
